Anyone Can Run

Claire Lomas is a mother who got into a freak accident in 2007, becoming paralyzed from the chest down. Yesterday she finished the London Marathon, 16 days after it had begun. This woman is a fighter. She set her mind to something and she accomplished it as thousands of fans cheered her on. Although the road was rough, she did everything she could to accomplish her goal. What Claire did is incredible and something I don't think many people have the will power to do. She put so much work and effort into finishing this race and she did it. I think her story will inspire others who have become paralyzed to follow their dreams.

  1. This story was so inspiring. I started tearing up at my desk. It is so amazing to see that people are able to set their minds to something and do prove everyone wrong!

  2. I give this lady a lot of credit for what she did. As a runner I know how hard it is to run with two functional legs...I can't imagine what its like to endure that much pain with the set back of being paralyzed.
