According to this article, there is hope for children with Congenital Heart Disease. Prior to this study kids would have to live with their damaged hearts and undergo many surgeries. This study shows that it is possible to use stem cells to repair the heart and have these children live a happy and mostly healthy life. Since heart disease is different in children than in adults the stem cells will not be able to help adults with heart problems. This study is extremely important for the outcome of these children's lives.

Ryan Mansfield has this disease so I've seen how hard it is for him to deal with on a day to day basis. I can't imagine it but he deals with this disease very well considering he is a 16 year old boy. After knowing Ryan but not really understanding the disease, this really helps me see what he has to deal with.
